is the form of 'Physiognomy' which is one of the following
Chinese five arts( Whu Shu). The term 'physiognomy' refers to
the observation of appearance. Physiognomy or 'Xiang'
spans not just the observation of the face, but also the palms,
body, voice and physical
movements. Face Reading or Mian Xiang (Mian being Face) is the
most popular method of observation perhaps because it is
relatively easy to observe a person face.
Face reading encompasses techniques of assessing not only the
facial features, but also facials expressions and small and
subtle movements or tics. The twinkling of the eye the way gins,
gazes and smiles or the way he speaks all tell us
something about that person.
